Eduqan offers this website, including all information, tools and services available from this site to you, the user, conditioned upon your acceptance of all terms, conditions, policies and notices stated here.
By visiting our site and/ or purchasing something from us, you engage in our “Service” and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”, “Terms”), including those additional terms and conditions and policies referenced herein and/or available by hyperlink. These Terms and Conditions apply to all users of the site, including without limitation users who are browsers, vendors, customers, merchants, and/ or contributors of content.
Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before accessing or using our website. By accessing or using any part of the site, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to all the terms and conditions of this agreement, then you may not access the website or use any services. If these Terms and Conditions are considered an offer, acceptance is expressly limited to these Terms and Conditions.
Any new features or tools which are added to the current store shall also be subject to the Terms and Conditions. You can review the most current version of the Terms and Conditions at any time on this page. We reserve the right to update, change or replace any part of these Terms and Conditions by posting updates and/or changes to our website. It is your responsibility to check this page periodically for changes. Your continued use of or access to the website following the posting of any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.
These terms and conditions shall govern the purchase/sale, registration and use of Eduqan course material available on our website. By proceeding with any course(s) on our website you are giving express agreement to these terms and conditions. It is your responsibility to read the terms and conditions before proceeding with any course orders as accessing or using our course materials you are agreeing to comply and are bound by our terms and conditions.
Eduqan has all the right to cancel, reschedule or postpone any of its courses. Should it be necessary to cancel or reschedule any courses, Eduqan will inform you at the first available opportunity and delegates will be rescheduled as a priority to the next available course(s). Eduqan does not accept any responsibility for certificates expiring as a result of a cancelled course.
Payment: Payment should be made in full prior to the classroom-based course start date(s). Eduqan reserves the right to withhold certificates until full payment has been cleared. Individual consumers are required to make payment at the time of booking.
Please be aware that the full course fee applies to any cancellations made in less than 20 working days prior to the course start date. Course cancellations are accepted by way of telephone 0203 442 0441 or by sending an email email@example.com. An online course will start the moment registration on to the course platform has been confirmed or completed.
For online courses, Individual bookings are given the right of 14 days in which they can cancel bookings from the date it was made. Cancellation requests for any other courses booked outside this timeframe must be received at least 14 days before the course start date. Requests for cancellations after the 14 day period will be charged the full course fee. This does not affect your statutory rights. Courses delivered face to face can only be cancelled prior to attending the actual course date, once course has resumed, cancellation will not be accepted and you will be charged the full course fee.
Eduqan reserves the right to cancel a course for which non-payment occurs of an invoice 14 days before the course.
Transfer requests at Eduqan are charged at 50%, provided that the request has been made at least 5 working days before the course start date. Requests made after this period will incur and additional 100% charge of eh course fee.
ONLINE COURSES TRANSFERS
Eduqan does not charge payment within the first 7 days of course booking. Once 7 days have passed, a 50% charge will apply to the course fee. If however you cancel a course after the transfer has been made, then the full cost of the course will be charged. You can request a transfer either by telephone 0203 442 0441 or by sending an email firstname.lastname@example.org
All our prices are subject to VAT at the prevailing rate, if VAT is applicable.
COURSE TIMING AND JOINING INSTRUCTIONS
It is important that good time-keeping is maintained throughout the course. Eduqan provides full course instructions upon joining, which includes information regarding the start time of the course and any additional information required. If the booker does not receive the joining instructions, it is their responsibility to contact Eduqan by either telephone or email to arrange for them to be re-sent. Failure to attend the course due to not receiving joining instructions will result in the full cost of the course being charged. It is the responsibility of the booker to ensure that the delegate is fully briefed and made aware of these instructions and all course requirements before attending the course.
Accuracy, Completeness And Timeliness Of Information
We are not responsible if information made available on this site is not accurate, complete or current. The material on this site is provided for general information only and should not be relied upon or used as the sole basis for making decisions without consulting primary, more accurate, more complete or more timely sources of information. Any reliance on the material on this site is at your own risk.
This site may contain certain historical information. Historical information, necessarily, is not current and is provided for your reference only. We reserve the right to modify the contents of this site at any time, but we have no obligation to update any information on our site. You agree that it is your responsibility to monitor changes to our site.
Delegates must attend and complete all aspects of the course to qualify for certification. The full cost of the course will be charged for delegate(s) who arrive late or are absent from all or part of the course. This applies even if they are refused admittance due to lateness.
MEETING THE NEEDS OF DELEGATES
Eduqan has an Equal Opportunities Policy. To enable us to ensure that all customers are treated fairly and their requirements are fully met, you must advise us in advance of any special requirements that your delegate(s) need in order to enable them to participate fully in the training.
Please note that any specialist equipment and/or personnel such as signers or translators are not provided by Eduqan; however, these can be sourced at your own cost.
MISSING PAYMENTS – CONSUMER
If a consumer chooses an easy payment method and does not complete the payment as agreed with the sales team, no refund will be made to the consumer. A charge in full will be requested from the consumer and will be removed from the course. It is the consumers’ responsibility to contact Eduqan and make payments according to their easy payment plan.
Non-payment may result in the consumer being suspended from the course until payment is made, and this may also incur a fee. If payment is over thirty days late, the student will become liable to our standard fees as shown on our website. Eduqan has all the right to pursue the consumer through the legal system to recover the outstanding payments.
MISSING PAYMENT – BUSINESSES
If an organisation or company chooses invoice payment methods and does not complete the payment as agreed with the sales team, no refund will be made to the business, even if the business decides to leave the course. Eduqan reserves the right to pursue the company through the legal system to recover the outstanding payments. As a business, invoices will be dealt with as an outstanding invoice. If one invoice is paid but another is not paid, Eduqan reserves the right to block all students that have been logged onto the online platform.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Except in respect of death or personal injury caused by the negligence of Eduqan, the company shall not be liable by reason of any representation (unless fraudulent) or implied warranty, condition or other term, or any duty at common law or under the express terms of this agreement, for any loss of profit or any indirect special or consequential loss, cost expenses or other claims for compensation. The entire liability of Eduqan to you under or in connection with this agreement and the provision of the training shall not exceed the sum of twice the contract value.
DATA PROTECTION ACT 2018
Personal data collected will be used for the purpose of delegate and course administration as required by Eduqan and may be disclosed to appropriate bodies/organisations associated with such courses. The information may also be used for marketing purposes and you could be contacted by letter, fax, telephone or e-mail with details of future events and courses organised or promoted by Eduqan which may be of interest to you. Eduqan proactively manages all marketing communications to enable delegates and organisations to opt out from further communication at any time. Eduqan will not contact any delegate or organisation that has previously unsubscribed from email or newsletters. Contact details supplied to Eduqan and you will be notified if changes to our policies take place. If a student or booker gives Eduqan the incorrect details or requires a replacement certificate due to an error occurring due to the students or bookers information, this would lead to a £100 certificate replacement charge.
Students will not be registered until full payment of the course is completed. If a student does not complete full payment, Eduqan reserves the right to remove a student at any time due to non-payment. Students will not be regarded as on the course until full payment is made. Students are not required to be registered with a particular awarding body and this can be changed at any time. Students will only be able to receive their registration number upon completion of their course. If a student has not submitted any work within the 300 days of starting the course this will be classed as a non-starter and will be removed from course. If no submissions are completed within 30 days, the student will not be registered with the awarding body.
COMPLETION OF COURSES
Students are entitled to a 12 months completion period on the e-learning platform. This is applicable to every course on the e-learning platform. Evidence of identification must be submitted upon completion of a student’s qualification before their certification can be claimed from the awarding body.
Eduqan requires a number of compliance checks that will include the following: ID checks, qualified observer confirmation and plagiarism checks. If any student commits fraud or is found to attempt to commit fraud, then the student will be removed from the course and no refund will be made available.
FEEDBACK FOR WORK SUBMITTED
Our tutors aim to provide feedback within 5 working days per assignment submitted, this is subject to reasonable usage. If multiple files are submitted on one occasion, this will cause a delay in feedback. We encourage our learners to submit work as they progress through each assignment, this is to ensure they receive feedback as soon as possible.
No further support or access will be provided until payment for the subscription has been made. All payments will be made via direct debit.
Once the course has expired (see section on COMPLETION OF COURSES), the student will be required to pay monthly subscription fees as detailed below. These subscription fees will start from the date of expiry of the course.
For any courses that involve workplace supervision, the student is required to have access to their own suitably qualified supervisor and this will not be provided by Eduqan.
Students may be required to complete their observations via Skype whilst completing their course with Eduqan This will provide students from all areas of the United Kingdom the opportunity to complete their observations using a suitable and efficient method of assessment. Eduqan will determine whether the student will complete all observations via Skype. This will depend on a variety of factors including location, time of year and duration. The decision will be made by the Support Team.
For all courses that require observations within the workplace, the student is required to have access to their own workplace placement and this must be arranged before purchase of the course. A workplace placement will not be provided with the course and Eduqan will not be held responsible for any unarranged placements.
EXPIRY OF ONLINE COURSE
When an online course expires, the student will have up to three months to request an extension. If an extension is not requested within three months of expiry, Eduqan reserves the right to remove the learner and all related submissions from the platform. Extension plans will last for a maximum of 24 months.
SUBSCRIPTION FEES BASED ON EXPIRY OF ONLINE COURSE
If a student expires, the student will be charged from the date of expiry. If a student contacts Eduqan to restart after this expiry, the student will be required to pay the outstanding subscription from the prior subscription period. If the subscription fee is not paid, the student will not be restarted on the course. No further support or access will be provided until payment for the subscription has been made.
As of the 11th January 2019, expired students will pay £24.00 per month (including VAT) to extend their online course. All payments will be made via direct debit or invoice and it is the responsibility of the student to cancel this direct debit at their discretion. As stated above, extension plans will last for a maximum of 24 months.
SUBSCRIPTION FEES BASED ON EXPIRY OF CLASSROOM COURSE
If a student’s classroom course expires, they will be required to pay a fee of £60.00 per month to extend their classroom course.
PROFESSIONAL BODY MEMBERSHIPS
Eduqan cannot guarantee a student’s membership with a professional body on completion of one of our courses. We offer fully-accredited courses that, once completed and certified, will allow you to apply for a professional body membership. There is no guarantee that the student will be accepted for professional body membership and we accept no responsibility for this. It is the responsibility of the student to look at the criteria of the professional body for membership.
EDUCATION IN ISOLATION (Online Courses)
The Education in Isolation pricing policy is specifically tailored for anyone who has seen a loss of employment due to the outbreak of COVID-19. By signing up to the Education in Isolation pricing plan, you are confirming that you have lost your employment due to COVID-19 and this could be investigated at any time by Eduqan. By paying a deposit, learners can undertake any of our courses immediately and no further payment is required until the start of the course. Upon completion of the registration form, candidates will receive a contractual agreement via email that can be electronically signed agreeing to the terms of payment. The total cost of the chosen course is stated in the table at the start of the registration form. The £9.99 charge is to secure a deposit for learners to begin the course.
Certifications & Qualifications
Below is an approximate guide for certification turnaround times and should be only be regarded as a guide not an exact timing.
During normal working conditions without catastrophe or pandemics it takes roughly 10-15 Working Days – for Level 1 CSCS Green Card course, First Aid, SIA licence-linked courses.
The times above are subject to change at any time without notification. Turnaround time depends on numerous factors such as but not limited to: course type, assessment method, duration of the course, location of delivery, clearance in full of any outstanding course payment, third-party awarding bodies’ own turnaround time and any unforeseen circumstances.
For any course not listed above please contact us BEFORE booking on to the course if you would like to clarify certification turnaround time.
Customers are responsible to pay any awarding body charges for replacement certificates. EduQan accepts no liability for misplaced certificates. The replacement certificate fee is £45. All certificates are delivered via royal mail. Collections can be made by customers with prior notification only. Customers can choose from the following three options for Certification delivery:
a) Free collection from our head office.
b) Standard Delivery which relates to Royal Mail 2nd Class unrecorded delivery. EduQan will not be liable to pay for any damages, including replacement certificate charges, for any claims of lost/misplaced certificates for this service.
c) Recorded Signed For delivery which is charged at £5.50 per certificate. We do not process any claims of lost/misplaced certificates after 30 calendar days from the date of dispatch of certification to clients for this service.
Given the unlikely event your result/certification is delayed by more than 60 working days of the anticipated date without valid explanation by EduQan, damages shall be limited to a full refund of the course fee only. Under no circumstances will EduQan cover any costs of loss of earnings, other training provider course fees etc. Upon receiving certification from the relevant body/department, EduQan will notify its customers (learners) via email. We will use the same email address that the customer provided at the time of booking their course on our website, over the phone or in person. If we do not receive a suitable response to the email within 6 months we will post certification to the address provided on the course application form by the learner. Please note that due to variables outside of our control, the ‘certification ready’ email we send may end up in your spam/junk mail, therefore, we advise our customers that if the estimated certification turnaround time has passed and you still have not heard from us, you first check your spam/junk mail before contacting us.
